Job Description
Surveying Manager - High-Rise Management and Factoring
Waverley Court
Salary: £52,373 - £62,685
Hours: 36 per week
Through the recent review, we have identified a fantastic opportunity to bring together a team of highly skilled, solution-based, customer-focused officers who will manage all aspects of the 50 High-Rise residential buildings we manage across the city.
The successful post holder will lead a team of around 100 officers on block management services, management of all construction activities on site by third-party organisations, and manage the Concierge service in blocks, as well as ensuring safety inspections are carried out. You will also manage the charging out of common repairs and factoring fees in blocks, including the preparation and issue of bills to owners in the blocks.
The role also involves the management of all Health and Safety responsibilities, as well as Regulatory and Legislative requirements including checks on block dry risers, water tanks, and effective management and control over all 100 lifts across the city.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge and an understanding of housing, property, and building management services. You should be confident in making strategic decisions which will have a positive impact on owners and tenants in high-rise blocks across the city and have strong communication skills with experience of managing large and complex buildings, application of programme and project management, and planning and managing revenue and capital budgets.
If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities and have strong leadership skills demonstrating our behaviours - respect, integrity, and flexibility - as well as extensive experience of creating, developing, and leading a high-performance culture, driving change and service delivery, we would love to hear from you.
I am keen to hear from leaders who feel they have the skills, knowledge, and experience but, equally importantly, demonstrate and lead on our behaviours. If you are interested, please contact graeme.reid@edinburgh.gov.uk for more information.
