About the role:
Pivotal member of the newly formed Treasury team, with responsibility for the alignment of forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, and the forecasting and actualisation of the company’s asset-based lending (ABL) facility on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. A key focus will be on maintaining and improving the supporting processes and systems to further enhance the accuracy of the forecasting and the efficiency of the process.
Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2/3 days per week
Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)
What you will be doing:
1. Credible and reliable 13-week cash flow forecast, blending shorter-term transactional information with medium- and longer-term financial forecasts
2. Incorporation of ABL features into the cash forecasting (e.g., allowances and limits)
3. Weekly discussion with Buying and regular interaction with those procuring capital expenditure
4. Daily cash management and, once training has been provided, the execution of short-term foreign exchange deals
5. Close liaison with the Head of Treasury and CFO to ensure alignment
6. Weekly payment execution as part of a team
7. Cover other objectives as set from time to time
About you:
8. Part qualified treasurer (AMCT) or part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA). Harding+ supports those training for professional qualification
9. Proven experience knitting together several inputs into a regular short-term cash flow forecast
10. Strong Excel skills and an ability to quickly pick-up new systems
11. Meticulous attention to detail, keen interest in financial markets, and curiosity to understand more
12. Takes pride in own work with a desire to constantly learn
13. Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
