WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Finance Business Partner working in the Healthcare division, currently reporting to the Divisional Finance Director being responsible for management accounting, financial accounting, internal reporting activities and Business Partnering of a recently acquired business turning over £10m running hosted buyer events in healthcare and education, including balance sheet ownership and working closely with senior managers and leaders to support from a Financial Perspective. This role will also have the opportunity to support with the business integration and preparation of deal completion accounts and related reporting. THE ROLE: The main duties will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring proper recording and reporting of financial transactions Provide finance support to operational and marketing teams responsible for show cost budgets and revenue. Build, review and maintain budgets and forecasts in the FP&A system. Financial accounting responsibility for all legal entities within remit, balance sheet reconciliation and audit compliance Report and manage financial risks and opportunities at show level Ad hoc reporting and analysis. Supporting the FD and business to develop new and innovative analysis reports to help the business focus on performance and delivering financial objectives Suggest updates and improvements for accounting processes as well as ensure the business are following finance process and train/support where needed. Ad-hoc support as required to the senior finance team ABOUT YOU: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to gain the trust, confidence and respect of colleagues particularly those outside of finance. Ability to prioritize, think on your feet and deliver in a fast-paced environment Solution-orientated with a proactive “can do” attitude, instilling a sense of pace and urgency into the organization, and willing to delve into the detail. Confident in forecasting and preparing budgets accurately. Excellent IT skills Efficient in producing useful reports and analysing information to support decision making. Ability to maximize efficient usage of financial information systems. Deadline driven. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations. Based in Crawley with occasional travel to Coventry or London office at least once a month. This role requires someone to get involved in the detail on a monthly basis as well as business partner non finance employees. Qualifications & Experience Strong academic record and a clear, structured thinker Demonstrable ability to communicate and influence those outside of Finance ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience Minimum of two years of demonstrable business partnering Minimum of three years’ experience preparing full management accounts Proven track record of delivery of value adding information. Strong analytical skills Experience of computerized accounting / ERP systems would be advantageous though not essential. Preferably someone from an SME background who has developed through Finance roles and understands the basics of accounting.
