New Requirement for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician on a 12 month contract with a UK defence technology company in the Plymouth area. The role will be based at HMS Raleigh, with trips to Devonport and Culdrose. (Pool Car will be provided). N.B. Candidates can start on BPSS while security clearance is obtained (You must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance). Main duties will likely include: Provide technical support to several IT systems and associated training equipment, including supported AV, are correctly maintained and repaired to enable Selborne contract performance standards to be met and the delivery of naval training is maintained. The roles main duties will include but not be limited to: Provide IS support (1st/2nd Line) to ensure calls are managed in line with agreed SLA/ KPI User account management Assist in the updating of the register of IT assets Carry out inventory of hardware and software of IT Systems as directed Provide user support to ensure the effective and timely resolution of technical problems, keeping users informed of the status of their request for support Assist in the day to day operation of backup systems including rotation of backup tapes. Assist with the software deployment as instructed/requested Assist with the build of PCs, Servers and Mobile Systems in line with contract and customer need Monitor system alerts and reports. Manage all works through the TABS FM System or other mandated management system. Contribute to the proper installation, maintenance, and disposal of IS Equipment. Liaison with contractors and suppliers of IS equipment. Provide IT support services ensuring all services are delivered to contract requirements
