Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, the Field Service Technician is there to respond in an efficient and effective manner regarding external customer technical support that is raised. This means liaising with all internal departments and carry out investigations to resolve the customers issue in timely and satisfactory resolution for the benefit of customer and Hubbell. This post will be based in Dubai and candidate must be able to travel Internationally to customer and project sites. Preferred candidate to reside in DubaiA Day In The Life 1. Provide field service at domestic, international customer locations, both on or offshore for standard equipment and High-complexity custom equipment. This may include countries with elevated travel advisories.
* Perform new system start-up
* Perform High-complexity system troubleshooting
* Perform network programming configuration changes, troubleshooting
2. Develop a working knowledge of all product lines relative to the local district/region, including high-complexity custom products. Develop an understanding of software applications for these products as related to system design and support. 3. Perform depot repairs on products relative to the local district/region. 4. Become proficient in providing technical support for products relative to the local district/region, including products sold by GAI-Tronics that may be purchased from another manufacturer. 5. Provide technical support, via telephone, to customers and sales representatives. 6. Follow established and documented procedures for time accounting and customer invoicing.
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Associate Degree in electronics or Networking or equivalent work/military training
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
* Ability to read color coded charts and work in an industrial environment
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Willing and able to travel, domestic and international
