About The Role
RAC have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Product & Commercial Manager to join a growing Product & Consumer Duty team. You will bring experience from a regulated business to support the product managers and drive product improvements and commercials across the UK, European and add-on products. Reporting into the Head of Product you will have accountability across the product performance and cost base to drive efficiencies without impacting customer outcomes.
This role is based in Bradley Stoke and working hybrid hours – 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week at home.
What you will do
1. Ensuring RAC products are market leading and scanning the market trends and forecasts for main competitors to keep abreast of any new product development.
2. Drive cost efficiencies to ensure we delivered against our budgets cost numbers for Breakdown Extras.
3. Seek ways to improve commercial positions with 3rd parties and deliver benefits.
4. Drive continuous improvement in the products, customer outcomes and commercial efficiencies.
5. Creates product proof points and marketable claims based on technical/operational inputs.
6. Use expertise to support the wider team with opportunities to support good customer outcomes and market leading products and services.
What you will need
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a regulated environment and have the ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, roll up their sleeves and deliver immediate requirements, and work across a wide matrix team to deliver change.
Able to effectively work across a range of short- and longer-term initiatives across multiple facets.
Strong commercial skills are needed to work across a range of short- and longer-term initiatives across multiple facets applying sound judgement for opportunities with a customer focus lens.
Experience of managing external stakeholders and commercial negotiations also an advantage.
