About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious Sales and Marketing Director to join our Senior Team and play a pivotal role in driving GeoSmart’s growth. This position is ideal for a proactive, innovative leader with a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering measurable results.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Leadership: Define and implement our sales and marketing strategy to accelerate growth and strengthen market position.
2. Team Management: Lead and inspire our sales and marketing team, setting targets, tracking performance, and fostering a results-driven culture.
3. Business Development: Take a hands-on approach to developing key accounts, nurturing client relationships, and building a robust sales pipeline.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with our technical experts to launch new services, ensuring alignment between client needs and technical delivery.
5. Digital Marketing & CRM: Map out customer journeys for priority personas, utilising digital content to qualify marketing leads. Execute a new digital strategy leveraging software tools to optimize lead generation and conversion.
6. Client Engagement: Enhance GeoSmart’s reputation as a trusted adviser by delivering exceptional value to key accounts, supported by our expert consultancy team.
7. Future Growth: This role will have a Board position, reflecting the critical importance of sales and marketing to GeoSmart’s ongoing success.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Proven track record in B2B technical sales, ideally in a consultancy, software or similar environment.
2. Strong experience in executing digital marketing and PPC strategies.
3. Training and hands-on experience with systematic sales processes.
4. Leadership experience, including setting KPIs, managing teams, and driving accountability.
5. A degree and the ability to grasp environmental factors such as climate change, sea level rise, and increased rainfall.
6. Innovative mindset with the ability to adopt new ideas and technologies to enhance sales and marketing performance.
7. Proficient in business technology, with strong communication skills and an appreciation for attention to detail.
8. Familiarity with environmental consultancy services or the property sector.
9. Experience working within cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive strategies.
10. Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a business performance commercial mindset.
