Job summary We are looking to provide the women who access our maternity service a robust approach to the immunisation programme for seasonal Flu, pertussis, RSV (/- COVID vaccinations). You will work as an Immunisation Nurse / Midwife providing clinical expertise to pregnant women and their babies. This role is to practice, maintain and teach vaccination clinical skills to appropriate staff groups e.g. student midwives and midwifery, nursing and maternity support worker colleagues Please note this post is not suitable for applicants who are required to undertake the OSCE training programme. Applicants who do not have current valid UK NMC registration will not be considered for this post. Main duties of the job The post holder will ensure that appropriate vaccinations are offered and administered to all pregnant women and that they are actively encouraged to uptake. You will ensure that each women and her partner are given up to date informed choice regarding immunisations for themselves and their babies. The post holder will be required to maintain up to date medical immunisation records as required. The post holder will provide optimum quality of care to patients, offering support to the multi-professional team.
