The Role
The ideal Procurement Specialist for an Indirect Supply Chain role will be someone who possesses strong negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication and analytical abilities with a solid understanding of procurement practices in Indirect Categories. A proactive individual with a solid business acumen, global mindset who can work cross-functionally, streamline procurement processes and manage supplier relationships while ensuring Cost Savings, Compliance and 100% Integrity. This position can be based out of London, Bristol, Yeovil or Sheffield Boeing sites on a hybrid work schedule.
Skills & Competencies
1. Negotiation Skills: Manage the entire RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process and ability to negotiate contracts effectively, ensuring favorable terms and managing supplier relationships.
2. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, Market conditions and Indirect Procurement data to make informed decisions.
3. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with Internal Teams and External Suppliers.
4. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to manage Complex Contracts, Documentation and Procurement Processes.
5. Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address issues within the procurement process, supplier issues or delays.
6. Technology Proficiency: Experience using procurement software (e.g. SAP Ariba, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
7. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

2. Collaboration & Teamwork: Able to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with various functions across North America, Europe, Asia (HR, Factory and Productions, Facilities, etc.).
3. Strong Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of market dynamics, supplier capabilities, and the cost-effectiveness of various sourcing strategies.
4. Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong and collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
5. Ethical Sourcing & Sustainability: Understanding of sustainability initiatives in procurement, and the ability to implement ethical sourcing practices.
6. Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks in the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions or legal issues.
Responsibilities:
* Acts as an authorised agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
* Thoroughly understand and lead the contracting efforts including legal commercial terms and conditions for products, services, and technologies.
* Engages stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
* Prepares, executes and enforces negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
* Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance.
* Mitigates risks and issues. Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies.
* Prepares, develops and executes various business strategies that result in year-over-year cost savings to the organization.
* Leads or participates in cross functional teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
* Embraces a lean mindset and identifies efficiencies that can be implemented.
This position will be handling commodities like: Security Equipment & Services, Information Technology & Telecoms, Integrated Facilities Management, Construction Services, Tooling and Capital Equipment for the UK and the European countries.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s /master’s degree in engineering along with Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
2. Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management, particularly in indirect procurement as a specialist or a sourcing, contract management position.
3. Experience of working with global Multinational Organization to manage regional procurement environment, with exposure to various indirect categories.
4. Certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), LEAN or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
