Job Role: Health and Safety Advisor

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + Benefits package
About the role:
Our client is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with a Regional Health & Safety Advisor for their Severn Trent framework. Based in the Severn Trent region on various projects, you will be responsible for the day-to-day health and safety duties and contribute to the management and development of the regional safety strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Provide support to the project team to enable compliance with health and safety legislation and the implementation of HSE guidance and best practices.
2. Carry out systematic audits and inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with legislative requirements and health and safety management systems.
3. Monitor the satisfactory resolution of health and safety issues.
4. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify the root cause and learning points.
5. Assist the project team with the preparation of risk assessments and identification of suitable control measures as and when required.
6. Assist with the development and maintenance of safety-related documentation (e.g., manuals, procedures, guidance notes, and forms).
