Responsible for the Strategic and Large Projects Team, the effective management and delivery of strategic/complex/large scale customer deliveries, site exits and internal projects.
Establishing and maintaining an effective communication flow with cross-functional teams to ensure all parties perform as a cohesive unit. Act as a business advocate across multiple projects whilst minimising company exposure and risk.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Drive to realise the revenue on all installation projects/deliveries as soon as possible.
* Develop a clear understanding of requirements and the company’s contractual obligations.
* Manage expectations through clear and timely communications whilst representing the company’s objectives and requirements for successful project delivery.
* Identify required resources and work with respective management teams to acquire core project team members.
* Facilitate structured and documented project kick-off and update meetings with team members to identify major milestones, sub-tasks, dependencies and risks.
* Proactively identify areas where critical project deadlines may be in jeopardy and facilitate corrective measures and contingency plans to ensure company commitments are met.
* Monitor expenditure to ensure each project is completed at or below budget.
* Present weekly updates on major projects to the internal Steer-Co at Zayo.
* Create, maintain and distribute regular project plans, milestone charts and status updates as appropriate.
* Develop and maintain strong communication channels with both internal and external organisations.
* Build long-term relationships with suppliers and identify appropriate growth / partnership opportunities.
* Analyse efficiencies of existing business processes and suggest suitable improvements.
* Provide product and Sales support and update to timely new sales opportunities as the optimum point.
* Provide regular communication & a presentable clear fashion to the executive team.
* Maintain relationships with Strategic customers, in-person at regular intervals, and update them on the performance of their account with reporting.
* Manage a team of project/program managers to effectively deliver quality products to time & budget.
o First line of escalation.
o Encourage and mentor team members development.
o Complete team members 1-2-1s and RADs in line with Zayo’s policies.
o Revenue forecast and reporting.
o Executive escalations.

Qualification Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience with demonstrable achievements in a telecommunications engineering or project management environment.
* Practitioner level certification in Project Management (e.g. APMP, PMI, PRINCE2).
* Planning & Organising: Proven ability to establish a course of action, acquire resources and deploy them effectively.
* Time Management: Proven ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment and ensure effective delivery of priorities to meet targets and objectives.
* Responsibility: Proven ability to work without direct supervision and to solve problems using own initiative.
* Communication: Proven ability to provide effective and timely communication to customers and project teams. Proven ability to impart information clearly and concisely at executive level both by verbal presentation and written reports.
* Cooperation & negotiation: Proven ability to work effectively with others in order to meet project objectives.
* Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyse and document a situation and understand how to apply that analysis to resolve the issue at hand.
* Presenting: Proven capability to produce and present professional slide decks to external customers and internally within the business.
Desirable Experience/Attributes
* Exposure to full project delivery life cycle on multiple Pan-European and Global projects.
* Solid understanding of key technical aspects of company technologies (IP, WDM, Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, Civils construction).
* Experience of delivering customer solutions utilising Ciena, Juniper and other optical technologies.
* Familiarity with using Project Management software, e.g. MS Project.
* Exposure to Salesforce.com.
