Due to a recent promotion, we are seeking a Materials Expeditor to join our team and ensure the smooth flow of materials within our operation.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components required for production.
2. Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
3. Tracking and reporting on the status of incoming materials, resolving any issues that may arise in the supply chain.
4. Liaising with the production team to understand material requirements and priorities.
5. Collaborating with the procurement and logistics teams to optimise supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
1. Previous experience in a materials expediting or supply chain role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
4. Proficiency in using ERP systems for tracking and managing inventory.
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
