Events Facilitator
Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol
£26,717.60 - £29,793.40
Full-time
Turn your passion for events into a rewarding career.
You’ve planned events, managed bookings, and tackled last-minute changes with ease. Now, you’re looking for a role where you can grow your skills, take ownership, and make a real impact. As our Event Facilitator at St Monica Trust, you’ll have the opportunity to do all that — and more.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our events operations, overseeing everything from initial bookings to on-the-day delivery. Whether it’s a celebration, a corporate event, or a more personal occasion, you’ll ensure every client experience is seamless and stress-free.
What’s in it for you?
This is more than just an events role—it’s a chance to:
* Take ownership of a diverse range of events, managing everything from catering to technical equipment.
* Build your skills in client service, health and safety, and budgeting while working in a supportive team environment.
* Lead with empathy, especially for sensitive occasions like funerals and wakes.
* Join a well-respected organisation with over 100 years of history in creating vibrant communities.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in event planning, with knowledge of catering, dietary requirements, and health and safety regulations.
* Is confident speaking to large groups and has exceptional people skills.
* Can think on their feet to troubleshoot technical issues (e.g., audio/visual systems).
* Brings sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism to every interaction.
* If you’ve worked in the hospitality industry, managed budgets, or hold a project or event planning qualification, even better—but we’ll help you build on your experience if not.
What you’ll get in return
At St Monica Trust, we value our team as much as we value our residents. When you join us, you’ll benefit from:
* A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
* Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
* Competitive pay, generous holiday allowance, and pension contributions.
* Access to our on-site facilities, including gyms and cafes.
Why this role is right for you.
This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility and variety. You’ll be the face of events at Cote Lane and occasionally other Trust sites, creating exceptional experiences for clients while maintaining a respectful environment for residents.
With your talent and our support, you’ll make a lasting difference to the people you serve—and take your career to the next level.
