Core Subject Tutors for Young People with SEND and SEMH
Our mission is to transform the quality of education provided to young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) / Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as other needs such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
We are looking for tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Buckinghamshire.
At Targeted Provision, our goal is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. Our team will keep you informed throughout every placement.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers who want to work one-to-one with children and young people with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to increase their engagement and drastically improve their educational journey.

The Tutor Role:
* This role involves providing maths, English, or science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* These young people require some level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Providing young people with holistic and engaging sessions meeting their needs and advancing their educational and social-emotional journey
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's progress
Tutor Requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK
You must have the ability to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment Status:
* This position involves working with us as a worker, providing short-term engagements as needed
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* Insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
