Joseph Ash Telford is looking to recruit a Transport Planner to ensure overall transport compliance of the site is to a suitable standard, liaising with site management and Head of Transport, transport planning & Goods In support/administration. Key Responsibilities Transport Administration: Ensure locally required compliance considerations are met including all vehicle servicing completed and monitored Using TN360, review the security of both inbound and outbound loads Ensure driver walk-arounds are completed daily and monitor defects Ensure vehicles are suitably stocked with equipment (straps, netting, shrink wrap etc.) and all are maintained in good condition Stock control of fuel on site Attend training and toolbox talks relating to transport Any other general administration of transport related activities Transport Planning: Booking collections and deliveries daily in line with customer promises and business requirements Support the operations team with planning transport to identify the most efficient routes and maximise driver & vehicle utilisation Update and organise transport schedules Support with Goods Inwards Administration: Operation of weigh scales to gain and record weights of all incoming work into the site Ensuring all incoming work is tagged up correctly with customer details and date Accurate inputting of all Work Orders onto Xpansions Ensuring all drivers that visit the site have signed in, reviewed, and understand local site safety rules/procedures including PPE requirements etc. Checking purchase deliveries for accuracy and forwarding the associated documentation General: Liaise with other teams/departments through the division effectively Assist the site during times of absence or holiday Any other duties required to support the needs & requirements of the business Person Specification Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate data input in a timely manner Competent in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word etc) Excellent written and verbal communication Skills Ability to provide level of customer service Organised with good time management skills & ability to multi-task and prioritise Positive, enthusiastic, reliable and conscientious individual who is willing to work in a busy office, reporting directly to Operations Manager Take a look at the great benefits we have on offer: Salary up to £25,000 plus bonus of up to 9% annual salary 25 days holiday plus annual bank holidays Reward Gateway - Smart Spending and Saving App Share Save Scheme Employee Assistance Programme On-site Mental Health First Aid support Death in Service Benefit – 3 x annual salary
