If so, we want you to join our Family Assessment and Support Team (FAST) About Us: Our FAST Team is part of the Front door to Children’s Services we screen referrals that are made for Early Help and look at what the support needs are of the families that get referred Role Overview: As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Team Manager in the day-to-day operations of the FAST Team. You will be responsible for supervising FAST workers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and contributing to the development and implementation of service improvements. Key Responsibilities: Accountability: Be accountable for the day-to-day management of a team of Social Workers and other professionals in the delivery of statutory and legislative duties and requirements. Safeguarding: Manage the team to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Sefton whilst effectively managing risk. Performance Targets: Ensure the key performance targets as they apply to the team, the service, and the Council are met. Collaboration: Carry out this role in a collaborative manner that promotes equality of opportunity and joint working with other teams across the Council and partners, while challenging and supporting the team to ensure timely and suitable outcomes for children, young people, and their families. Embed the Council’s values into the work of the team and peers. Leadership: Take a leading role in promoting, delivering, and embracing Sefton’s child care policies and help deliver our vision of making our children safe, secure, and successful. Quality Assurance: Use all multi-disciplinary resources available to ensure that the quality of practice with children, young people, and families is of a consistently high quality. Requirements: Qualifications: A degree in Social Work, with registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England Experience : Proven experience in children's social care, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
