We are looking for a Product Development Specialist to assist the Product Development Marketing Manager on the new strategic innovations and develop new packaging.
Location: On-site in Dubai, UAE (willing to relocate)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist Product Development Marketing Manager in development process in its entirety – from product concept, brief and packaging development
* Review and update the New Product Development networks for different projects
* Support the team to produce complete competitive analysis for every new product from claims, clinicals, ingredients, price, packaging (primary, secondary), tools.
* Continually evaluate new trends, last skincare innovations, competitive intelligence and help on producing monthly market “Insight Reports to feed the launch strategy and different departments – using several platforms (social media, blogs, Mintel, Euromonitor, print and digital publications)
* Assist Product Development Marketing Manager in creating unique and innovation Product Concepts for all innovations (insight, product name, reason to believe, mode of actions, key ingredients, skincare benefits and packaging, positioning)
* Develop packaging brief and work on the development and production with external partner (from competitors review, concept, inspo, shape, functionality, look and feel, colors)
* Develop innovative packaging with sustainability in mind – primary, secondary and tertiary – looking for innovative and new materials
* Assist Product Development Marketing Manager with packaging development (prototypes, PPS, color sampling…) and production planning to ensure delivery OTIF (On Time In Full)
* Develop collaterals like limited editions packaging or holidays sets, shopping bags, shipment boxes, gifts for VIPs to name a few.
* Lead the artwork process by creating a master file for each creative brief, working with the designers to ensure the ATW is without error and coordinate its review and production
* Coordinate proof reading and artwork process checklists with internal teams
* Develop specific sampling or discovery packaging and GWPs
* Develop skincare tools and accessories, as well as linen for our spa channel
* Develop any tools for sales team such as consultation kit
* Research interesting new packaging, looking at trends and competitors – from shape, function to material, including trends with focus on sustainability
* Collaborate with Product Development Marketing Manager to write product messaging and claim strategy to drive superiority vs. competition
* Manage ongoing products sample reviews and submissions process internally.
* Coordinate packaging prototype and bulk for all clinicals testing, shooting, or marketing/sales needs required for project
* Manage and update all corporate documentation such as product copy documents, active glossary, leaflets…
* Help in managing all existing sku artwork updates
* Help marketing, PR or customer care in resolving quality and customer service problems related to formulas, ingredients and packaging
* Work with operations team to keep on track the internal QC process
* Create all relevant materials needed for the QC process to occur at each of our warehouses and ensure they are up to date at all times.
Education & Experience:
* A master’s degree in marketing or related discipline.
* 2+ years of experience in skincare product development – formula and packaging
* Experience of working closely with packaging engineers, packaging sourcing team and laboratories
Skills & Requirements:
* Clear demonstration of successful project management within skin care industry – from timing and collaboration perspective
* Understanding consumers’ needs for skincare and luxury sensory
* Understanding the complexity of developing beauty products for a global business - EU, US, Asia – including China
* Having a good understanding of US, European and China consumers in skincare is a plus
* Passion for sustainable skincare – formulas and packaging
* Using Mintel and Euromonitor is a plus
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
