Salary: Up to £46,000 + Door to Door + Van Fuel and Fuel Card + On Call and OT
About the Role:
Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas & Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team in the Leeds, Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine planned maintenance, repairs, and emergency call-outs for Gas & Plumbing, always maintaining a high standard of service.
2. Strive for a first-time fix wherever possible and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently.
3. Communicate effectively with planners to keep projects on track, ensuring timely completion and re-booking if necessary.
4. Maintain cleanliness on site, ensuring plant rooms and work areas are always tidy.
5. Build strong relationships with customers through excellent communication, offering your expertise and advice.
6. Record and update data accurately on JobLogic, ensuring compliance paperwork is filled out correctly.
7. Obtain material quotes from suppliers and provide them to the quoting team within 72 hours.
8. Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota, providing support to customers during reactive call-outs.
9. Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessments and COSHH records.
10. Perform other duties as required by the business.
Customer Relationship Management:
1. Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to all customers.
2. Ensure that all work is completed to a high, compliant, and competent engineering standard.
3. Uphold the company’s values and culture in every interaction.
Health & Safety:
1. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, safe systems, and COSHH records during daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Gas & Plumbing Engineer.
2. Gas Safe Registered.
3. Relevant certifications: COCN, MET1, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, UVHW.
4. IPAF/PASMA card or willingness to work at heights.
5. Strong fault-finding and service work experience.
6. IT literate – competent with Microsoft Office (Basic to Intermediate level).
7. Full UK Driving Licence.
