Specialist Learning Mentor\nLocation: Aston, Birmingham B6\nPay Scale: £100 - £110 per day\nDuration: Long Term to Permanent\nDays: Monday to Friday\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nLong Term Futures is looking for a dedicated and proactive Learning Mentor to support mixed-age pupils within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Aston. This role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support teaching and learning, provide interventions, and help manage behaviour. This is a full-time position, running Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term time.
Initially a long-term role, there is potential for this to become permanent for the right candidate.\n\nRoles & Responsibilities:\n\nProvide tailored support for pupils with SEN and behavioural needs, ensuring they can fully engage in learning\nDeliver small-group interventions to boost academic progress and emotional well-being\nOffer one-to-one mentoring for children with Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs\nWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support strategies\nAssist both lower and higher-achieving pupils, ensuring all children reach their potential\nFoster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and confidenceThe Ideal Candidate Will:\n\nA relevant qualification (Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, or related field)\nExperience working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting\nA strong understanding of SEN and behavioural needs; DSL experience is desirable\nA flexible and adaptable approach, tailored to individual pupil needs\nExcellent relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration with pupils, staff, and parentsHow to Apply:\n\nPlease submit your CV via the application page or send your CV to Sam at Long Term Futures to express your interest in this exciting opportunity.
