About the Role The Maintenance Operative ensures the upkeep of premises through tasks like carpentry, plumbing, painting, cleaning, and stock management. They conduct inspections, supervise projects, enforce safety protocols, manage waste, and promote company values of trust, integrity, and kindness. Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Maintaining general appearance and tidiness of external and internal areas. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks regularly. • Basic Carpentry - fitting door furniture, refitting doors etc, fire door adjustments. • Basic plumbing skills, repairing leaks and changing taps etc. • Regular inspection of building and reporting any issues to the facilities manager. • Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance job. • Delivering projects from start to finish which could vary from small maintenance through to full office refurbishments projects planned by the facilities manager. • Site Supervisor – overseeing various trades whilst on site. • Painting and varnishing. • Daily checks of bathroom/patient and staff areas and supplies topping up when required, Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels). Person Specification • Basic carpentry& plumbing, experience. • Strong experience of general painting, preventative maintenance and repairs. • Previous experience in carrying out Inspections, stock and PPE management, supervising projects, and ensuring fire and safety compliance. • Knowledge of Health & Safety & adherence to regulations, waste management, and cleanliness. We are looking for an Maintenance Operative to work two days a week on Tuesday & Wednesdays, 15 hours a week and paying £12 per hour.
