About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team. As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities by working with the Estates and H&S Manager to make sure that the building is in the best condition for the employees who work there and is H&S compliant.
Principle duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Administrative duties, such as answering phone calls and calling out for contractors if the building needs repairing.
2. Maintaining stock, including purchasing orders and assisting with renovations to support the maintenance operatives, room moves, staff moves, and furniture assembly.
3. Assisting with IT or building issues, organizing repairs or maintenance as needed, such as ordering a new printer or calling in a specialist.
4. Managing building access, which includes issuing access keys, swipe systems, or any other security systems the business may have.
5. Coordinating with contractors for maintenance of facilities, including lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, heating, air conditioning, hygiene, and waste disposal.
6. Carrying out risk assessments on facilities and performing repairs if they are not up to standard (full training will be provided).
Person Specification
1. Full driving license is essential.
2. Experience of working in an administrative or similar facilities role.
3. Experience of conducting risk assessments is desired or willingness to learn.
