We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join us as our O&M Manager at Great Yarmouth Power Station!
As the most senior manager on site, you will be responsible for ensuring that Great Yarmouth operates safely, reliably and flexibly in order to achieve our asset business plan, and to deliver the continuous improvement agenda to maximize its potential as part of the RWE Generation Gas portfolio. This will require effective management of resources and people to meet wider operational & business challenges whilst continuing to deliver the planned commercial and performance targets.
About the role
* Health, Safety and Environmental compliance: Meet both legislative and corporate requirements & standards ensuring effective safety and operational practices are adopted – this role is the accountable ‘Duty Holder’ for the site.
* Ensuring Commercial Performance: Manage stakeholder interfaces, maintain regular communication, collaboration and cooperation with our Central Asset Optimisation team.
* Cyber and Operational Technology (OT) Security: Ultimate responsibility and accountability for ensuring the site is secure and safe and protected from threats.
* Budget management and cost Control: Ensure station expenditure is within approved budgets and plans.
* Management of Staff, Competence and Development: Demonstrate visible leadership and strong people management competence through positive engagement with staff at all levels, and promote a positive and informed future outlook for RWE which motivates and engages staff.
* Engender a culture of innovation: Ensure that business performance is continuously improved and we learn and share best practice with other assets.
Job Requirements and Experience
* Strong leadership skills, enhancing engagement and inclusion within the wider RWE team.
* Senior management experience, contributing to the Mid-Merit Cluster Leadership team and fostering team-based collaboration.
* Degree-level qualification in Leadership/Management or Engineering, with membership in a relevant professional body.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities, with strong attention to detail, innovation, and organizational skills.
* Strong delegation skills and serves as a role model in professional conduct.
* Experience managing complex plants and stakeholders, advising operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
* Deep understanding of the Gas Division strategy and its contribution to the Business Plan.
* Knowledgeable in power generation safety systems, safety rules, and Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.

* An expected starting package (salary and bonus) of approximately £85,000 to £120,000 depending on experience.
