About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to manage and maintain electrical systems, plant equipment, and services. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and suitable environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: Manage Electrical Systems : Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems across the Trust, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. Contract Management : Manage electrical contracts, ensuring value for money, quality service, and compliance with regulations. Provide Technical Advice : Offer expert advice on electrical systems to staff and contractors. Ensure Safety & Compliance : Make sure all electrical systems meet health and safety standards and statutory requirements. Planning & Strategy : Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans and strategies to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Emergency Response : Support the Trust's emergency on-call system, providing technical assistance when needed. Sustainability : Work with the Energy Manager to improve energy efficiency across the Trust's estate. Staff Training : Provide guidance and training on electrical systems to staff and contractors. You will be required to travel to various Trust locations Requirements: Experience : Strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in large-scale systems (healthcare setting is a plus). Qualifications : Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent). Leadership : Ability to manage teams and contractors effectively. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Compliance : Knowledge of health and safety, NHS standards, and relevant regulations. Flexibility : Willingness to travel across Trust sites and respond to emergencies. Possession of a full UK driving licence.
