Temporary Pupil/Family Engagement Officer Hours: 32 ½ Hours Per Week (Term Time Only) Salary: Grade 6 (£27,269 x 77.15%) Start Date: ASAP (until 31st August 2025 initially)The Governing Body wish to appoint a Temporary Pupil/Family Engagement Officer (FEO) to work at Hendreforgan Community Primary School to complement our existing team. The Headteacher and Governors of Hendreforgan Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a Pupil/Family Engagement Officer to support the well-being and learning of our pupils and their families. Hendreforgan Community Primary School is at the heart of the Gilfach Goch community. The school has 230 pupils, which comprises of: Part Time Pre-Nursery, Full Time Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. The school provides many excellent facilities including large, extensive grounds with canopied areas, a large multi-purpose hall, a range of Information Technology resources, well-equipped classrooms, spaces for interventions and community engagement events as well as a dedicated nurture classroom with a staff member dedicated to nurture and ELSA support. The school also has strong links with the community centre directly opposite the school site, as well as evolving relationships and partnerships with other community groups and organisations. The post holder will be required to work throughout the school and have experience of working with individual and groups of children and families to nurture and enhance well-being and learning. You will be required: - • To use initiative to set up and organise family learning and support groups; • To carry out administrative tasks and referrals to agencies; • To support individual and groups of children with emotional and behavioural needs to promote their well-being; • To be flexible but consistent in approach, be reliable and patient, and exhibit a calm professional manner at all times; • To have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team and form excellent working relationships with pupils, staff and parents; • To liaise closely with multi agencies to support pupils and their families.
