GLL is looking for an Area Swimming School Manager to work in Oxfordshire The Area Swimming School Manager is the link between our customers, Centre swim school leads, Swimming teachers and the leisure centre team. You will be responsible for the swim school programmes within your area. including school swimming and all other swim school products.
This key role provides technical support to the centre teams to ensure the smooth running of the lessons and high-quality, consistent level of customer service. Your role will bring organisation and structure to the swim schools as you develop and manage the programmes and lead and inspire your team. Income growth and increasing the number of pupils learning to swim will be an essential part of the role. This role offers a real opportunity to affect positive change and get closer to GLL’s National Aquatics Team.
You’ll no doubt be an experienced Centre Swim lead and lead Teacher, looking for the next stage in your career and be full of ideas of how to make things better. We’ll offer in-house training to support you with your role as well development opportunities such as ‘train the trainer’ and the STA Tutor training programme.
What you need:
1. Be a fully qualified swimming teacher
2. Hold a Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming (STA or Swim England/Swim Wales/Swim Scotland/Swim Ireland)
3. A real focus on customer service
4. Passion and personality
5. Knowledge of health and safety
6. Be a great team player
7. If you’ve worked with Course Pro, it would be beneficial but not essential

9. Focus on Pupil progression and attainment

11. Oversee and impact lesson delivery and quality
12. Manage, Mentor and develop your team including Centre Swim School Leads, Lead Teachers and Swimming Teachers
13. Recruitment of new Teachers
14. Deliver first-class customer service
15. Deal with customer queries and complaints
16. Create a positive customer journey
17. Utilise marketing resources to promote products and engage customers and staff
18. Oversee the school swimming programme and pupil attainment
19. Engage In community agendas
20. Support mobilisation and demobilisation as required
