Job Description
The Job Mission: Fluid System Engineer
As a Fluid System Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and integrating fluid systems into the overall plant design for a nuclear power plant. This includes developing system documentation, sizing components, and ensuring compliance with engineering methodologies, quality standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, review, and update system documentation for mechanical and thermo-hydraulic design, operator instructions, safety, and control logic.
2. Define I&C functional requirements, including writing Functional Test Platform (FTP) procedures, logic descriptions, and operating modes.
3. Perform thermal-hydraulic calculations and model components such as pumps, fans, tanks, and pipework.
4. Ensure the consistency of the 3D model with the intended system design and maintain accurate equipment specifications.
5. Collaborate with procurement teams to create technical specifications for contracts and oversee supplier documentation.
6. Evaluate modification requests and manage design changes using engineering tools.
7. Develop and propose technical solutions to resolve system issues.
8. Ensure all modifications align with the overall engineering cycle and project standards.
9. Create and update component datasheets and P&IDs with design changes for detailed handovers.
10. Actively engage in stakeholder meetings, gate reviews, and other relevant forums to ensure alignment.
11. Promote innovation, best practices, and process improvements within the discipline.
My profile
1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in process design, technical specification, and system documentation.
3. Proficiency in managing workloads to produce high-quality documents on time.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication in English.
5. Confidence in engaging with remote teams, including those in France and Germany.
6. Proactive in building positive working relationships and improving quality in engineering outputs.
7. Knowledge of EPR system design principles, I&C architecture, and safety classification.
8. Experience working on operating plants or industrial sites.
9. Ability to write technical documents in French.
