We’re undergoing recruitment for a Sales Manager to join our client in the Bishops Castle area.
* £30,000 per annum
* Monday – Friday
* Weekend Availability
Reporting to the Operations Director and the board, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of existing customers while also driving growth in the wholesale and retail sectors nationwide. Given the UK-wide customer base, a centrally located candidate is preferred.
Main Roles and responsibilities:
* Oversee the full commercial management of assigned customer accounts.
* Execute agreed promotional strategies in collaboration with the Operations Director.
* Ensure timely execution of new product launches within managed accounts.
* Identify and secure new customers, including regional businesses and branches/members of larger groups.
* Process and manage customer orders efficiently.
* Work alongside the Credit Control team to ensure customer accounts remain within payment terms.
* Represent the company at trade shows and industry events periodically.
Skills and requirements:
* Prior experience in a similar commercial role, ideally within the meat wholesale sector – Minimum of 5 years is highly advantageous.
* Established relationships with national groups and regional customers are highly advantageous.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to engage with buyers at all levels.
* Highly adaptable, organized, and proficient in administrative tasks.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective presentation abilities.
