Opportunity We are now seeking a dynamic PA to the Deputy Dean for the School of Health and Society to support the Deputy Dean with secretarial responsibilities, co-ordination of Deputy Deans activities and portfolio of work, supporting direction of work within the Executive Support team in support of and in collaboration with the PA to the Dean of the School and Team Manager. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, strong organisation and customer service skills and administration and co-ordination of administration and/or project work experience. Reporting to the PA to the Dean and Team Manager, the PA to the Deputy Dean will provide high-level, confidential and comprehensive support with the schools’ strategic priorities and objectives at all times. To deliver the challenges of this role, you should have high levels of initiative, outstanding time-management and organisational skills, you should also be able to identify creative solutions and work in a collaborative manner. Key Responsibilities Manage accurately the diary and inbox of the Deputy Dean for the School of Health and Society to provide efficient, effective, professional and confidential business administration to ensure the effective running of the office. Work on own initiative to meet competing demands and to resolve problems. Provide general administrative support across the schools Executive Support team to ensure the smooth running of key front-line activities, and support given to Associate Deans and Directors. Manage and service internal and external meetings including co-ordination of meetings, minute and action taking, recording and reporting requirements, ensuring governance requirements are followed accurately and timely. To co-ordinate any events (formal and informal) on behalf of the Deputy Dean or other Senior Leaders within the Executive Office. Deal with incoming correspondence with discretion and courtesy and produce confidential letters, reports and electronic presentations as required.
