Role: Associate Director HEOR- Oncology
Location: Hybrid in Paddington, London
Contract: 6 months contract initially with possibility of extension
Company: A multinational oncology company that specializes in the development of drugs for cancer treatment.
Overview:
This role involves leading and managing Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) programs to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables in support of the solid tumor portfolio. The position focuses on generating and disseminating scientific evidence to support reimbursement submissions and commercialization in the EU, LATAM, MENA, and Eastern Europe. Additionally, it provides insights to payers, patients, healthcare providers, and policymakers on the value proposition of products. The role requires HEOR leadership within cross-functional teams to facilitate broad and timely patient access.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute HEOR/Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies to assess the economic, humanistic, and clinical burden of disease, identify real-world unmet needs, and generate outcomes data to support product launches and commercialization.
* Develop HEOR/RWE evidence generation plans and formulate strategies to strengthen product value propositions.
* Lead HEOR/RWE research projects, ensuring high-quality outputs by authoring and reviewing protocols, reports, and study documents while managing project timelines and deliverables.
* Adapt and localize HEOR tools and materials, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, as well as payer dossiers.
* Stay up to date with HEOR and RWE trends in Europe and key global markets, proactively identifying risks and adapting strategies in collaboration with local teams.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including market access, commercial, medical, and clinical development, as well as external key opinion leaders (KOLs).
* Represent the organization at scientific, medical, and payer meetings to communicate evidence-based insights.
* Manage external vendors across HEOR projects while ensuring efficient budget utilization.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MPH) in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Pharmacoeconomics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing health economic modeling, real-world data analysis, or outcomes research, with at least 4 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong expertise in HEOR methodologies, including health economic models, systematic literature reviews (SLRs), indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs), and real-world data analysis.
Required Skills:
* Expertise in Cost-Effectiveness Modelling (CEM), Public Health, Oncology, and Outcomes Research
* Experience with solid tumours
* Strong time management and project management abilities
* Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and analysis modelling tools
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
