Royal Papworth Hospital invites you to join our team, providing high quality pharmaceutical care to patients in our specialist cardio-respiratory centre. The pharmacy department sits at the heart of our state-of-the-art, digitally enabled hospital.
In this role, you will lead on operations management of the clinical trials service including organising all workload and operating procedures.

Main duties of the job
In the role, you will:
*Dispense and accuracy check prescriptions for clinical trials and compassionate use programs
*Maintain and produce accurate documentation required for clinical trials
*Be responsible for the smooth initiation, running and close of clinical trials
*Implement and revise pharmacy clinical trials procedures
*Provide training and supervision to student pharmacy technicians and registered technicians working in Clinical Trials Pharmacy
*Deputise for the clinical trials pharmacists when necessary
As a senior member of the pharmacy department, you will line manage a small number of pharmacy technicians. We are dedicated to the development of line managers, providing access to leadership development programmes to enhance management and leadership skills.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures equivalent to degree level acquired through training and experience.
2. NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services, BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
3. Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
4. Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
5. GCP trained

6. Experience of clinical trials pharmacy
7. Experience of training and supervising staff
8. Knowledge of Word and Excel computer systems
9. Experience of managing errors and risk assessments
10. Experience of participating in audits / internal monitoring

11. Evidence of aseptic preparation knowledge.
