Newcastle Rugby Foundation are seeking a dynamic Income Generation Manager with a focus on trusts, grants and fundraising. Newcastle Rugby Foundation is the official charitable arm of Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder professional rugby teams. Our purpose is to make rugby the positive difference that changes lives for good.
Over the last 20 years we have supported over 300,000 people through our programmes. But we know there is more to be done to support the people of the North East which is why we’re looking for a Funding and Insights Manager to help us create a strategy to attract new funding streams so that we can continue to impact those in our community who need it the most.

Vacancy: Income Generation Manager
Hours Required: 37.5 hours (full time)
Rate of pay: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
Reporting to: Newcastle Rugby Foundation CEO
Based at: Kingston Park Stadium, Newcastle upon Tyne / Hybrid (we are willing to negotiate balance)
Purpose of the role
To develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy, that uses insight and data in a compelling and meaningful way to attract new revenue opportunities, predominately through grant funding. You’ll be working with our Senior Management Team to ensure:
* Funding for programmes is balanced between small, medium and large partners to avoid overreliance on larger or one-off partnerships.
* Programmes are relevant to the need of the communities in which we operate and are achieving their aims and objectives.
* Data is recorded and tracked to guarantee we are creating the impact agreed with partners.

We’re looking for an organised and energetic self-starter, a person who is committed to going the extra mile to secure funding so that we can reach even more people in the North East. This role requires someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up, develop processes and shout about our impact to attract and inspire new partners.
Key responsibilities
* Work in collaboration with the wider team you’ll be responsible for the submission of all funding bids to ensure your funding targets are met.
* Work in collaboration with the SMT to grow a robust impact measurement strategy to report on and develop projects.
* Secure funding from trust, business and individuals on a regular basis, building and nurturing a database of up-to-date opportunities.
* Undertake research to identify prospective grant opportunities that align with the aims of our programmes.
* From launch to delivery, reporting and budget monitoring you’ll take overall responsibility ensuring the team is delivering on the criteria outlined in the successful bid.
* Develop a project management process that monitors performance and identifies areas for improvement.
* Working in collaboration, you’ll undertake performance monitoring and evaluation, data upload, data protection, central relationship management (CRM) system updates, awareness and tracking of KPIs and objectives aligned with the Operations Plan.
* Prepare and present reports on the performance of programmes to internal and external stakeholders in a compelling and meaningful way.
* Represent Newcastle Rugby Foundation at meetings, conferences, and events.
* Assist the CEO and Marketing & Communications Executive with fundraising campaigns that not only raise awareness of our work but encourage additional donations or funding opportunities.
* Execute NRF Fundraising Strategy, prioritising foundations, trusts, and Games legacy giving.
* Work in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications Executive to maximise exposure of Newcastle Rugby Foundation as the official charity of Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle Thunder.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience of writing compelling bids, providing the correct level of support evidence to secure success.
* A proven track record of consistently achieving annual fundraising targets.
* Evidence of building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders in a corporate fundraising environment.
* Experience of producing monitoring and creating reports for a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to confidently speak in public.
* A track record of developing and managing projects and events with other partners to achieve successful outcomes.
* The ability to develop project plans and manage project budgets.
You’ll also need
* An Enhanced DBS clearance (RFU) before placement date.
* An understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity and safeguarding.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
* An understanding of data protection and GDPR principles.
* Access to your own transport.
* Experience and knowledge of the local business community.
* Understanding of the Fundraising Code of Conduct.
* Qualifications linked to Fundraising, bid writing or other relevant.
* Membership to the institute of Fundraising.
* Knowledge of social value tools.
* Experience in charity or sporting setting.
