Northern Education Trust is seeking a Management Accountant, to work in its central team based at ESSA Academy. It is essential that the successful candidate is at least AAT qualified and will have practical experience working in a financial environment (preferably in the academies sector). The successful candidate will also have a good level of knowledge and understanding of finance systems including; reconciliations, forecasting, budget setting, cash flow forecasting, experience of playing a role in both internal and external audits, experience of supervising staff and evidence of payroll, HMRC and other external agencies to ensure relevant payments and tax contributions are being made correctly. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to work to monthly routines and deadlines. IT skills are essential for this role with the ability to work confidently in excel to manipulate and analyse data. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and the ability to work within a team.
