As a result, we have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Sales Developer to join our Marshalls Sales Team on a permanent, full-time basis.
So, what’s the role?
The Internal Sales Developer is responsible for creating quotations and follow-through to order conversion of profitable sales opportunities for a selection of Marshalls Landscape Products and Services such as Natural Stone Paving, Landscape Protection, Decking and other bespoke Products. Ensuring that the customer’s needs are met; creating quotations, and ensuring these are delivered in a timely, accurate and customer-friendly manner.
You will provide support with related orders, deliveries, and delivery issues during busy periods. You will contribute to a Customer-Centric Internal Sales team, taking ownership of B2B customer interaction to generate profitable and sustainable direct-to-site sales.
You will develop strong teamwork with any external sales counterparts in particular to manage sales opportunities and customer accounts; with particular emphasis on our sales systems to record information and plan actions.
You will understand the production/sourcing method, potentially the influence of shipping costs and currency fluctuations. Pricing may involve working from drawings and requires a technical product understanding.
As an Internal Sales Developer, you will work with the Marshalls Design & Engineering, Marketing, Commercial Trading, Internal and External Sales Teams; plus recording pertinent information in CRM and liaising with Orders Advisors.
What do you need to bring to the table?
* Previous experience in a sales role or account management is highly desirable.
* The ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels on a B2B basis.
* As an excellent communicator (verbal and written), you’ll be good at influencing and negotiating with the ability to quickly build strong relationships.
* Strong business acumen / initiative.
* Ability to demonstrate resilience.
* Tenacious and strives for positive, accurate results.
* You’ll need to be computer savvy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
