Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an amazing client in the legal sector who are seeking aDebt Recovery Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial for ensuring maximum client conversion and effective debt recovery. The successful candidate will lead a team of Debt Recovery Agents, ensuring that both monthly and annual targets are met.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead and manage a team of Debt Recovery Agents.
* Ensure the achievement of monthly and annual targets for client conversion and debt recovery.
* Identify and address training and development needs within the team.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members.
* Liaise with clients regarding their compensation claims.
* Perform residency and other relevant searches.
* Assess debtors’ ability to pay and negotiate accordingly.
* Handle the commencement of Pre-Action Protocols and issue Part 7 and Part 8 Proceedings.
* Draft court documents, including applications for Attachment of Earnings Orders and Charging Orders.
* Prepare witness statements and cases for trial.
* Maintain effective communication with in-house legal teams and other businesses within the group.
* Instruct and liaise with external agencies.
* Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies, including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
* Uphold the core values of the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 12 months experience leading a team.
* Proven experience in handling clients and managing the claims process.
* At least 12 months of litigation experience in debt recovery.
* Familiarity with claims arising from breach of contract.
* Thorough knowledge of Pre-Action Protocols and Civil Procedure Rules.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong motivational, coaching, and support skills.
* Experience working towards deadlines and performance objectives.
* Ability to assist with communicating vision, strategy, and demonstrating commercial awareness.
* Flexible approach to implementing change.
* Strong problem-solving skills through critical analysis and effective decision-making.
