B.A.S.I.C. and Corner House Nursery is a day care of children's charity established in 1994. We offer a nursery caring for children aged 2-5 and an Out of School Care service alongside our "Basically Brilliant" Holiday Club caring for children aged 4-13.
We are currently seeking a Childcare Support Worker to join our team working 16 hours per week.
JOB ROLE
* The main role of a Childcare Support Worker is to provide a safe, stimulating, and welcoming play environment for children in our care.
* Serve snacks to the children in After School.
* Collect children from school and escort them to the service.
* Provide a safe environment by ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to.
* Plan and deliver a range of fun and exciting activities to meet the needs of the children, including those with additional support needs.
* Effectively evaluate the work with the children against GIRFEC guidelines and SHANARRI.
* Build strong relationships with children and parents.
* Complete daily and weekly paperwork.
* Actively contribute to the development of the service through monthly staff meetings and attend training when required.
Hours of work: Term Time
No formal qualifications are required; however, you would be expected to complete a qualification in childcare, which we would secure funding for.
Experience working with children in a play setting and knowledge of play theories would be advantageous.
Knowledge of GIRFEC and SHANARRI and how these can be implemented in a childcare setting is essential.
You will be responsible, reliable, flexible, and motivated to ensure all the children in our care have a great experience.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team is required.

OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS
Salary: £11.44 per hour upwards depending on qualification.
Schedule:
* Monday: 2.30-5.00pm
* Tuesday: 2.30-5.45pm
* Wednesday: 2.30-5.45pm
* Thursday: 2.30-6.00pm
* Friday: 2.30-6.00pm
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44-£12.20 per hour
