Opportunity to join a fast growing high-tech company that designs and manufactures a range of products sold internationally.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
* Oversee implementation of models into product codebases including measurement of performance impact and effect on overall performance in field trials.
* Identify potential new edge-computing hardware and framework developments that can be exploited and work with our hardware team to ensure suitability.
* Lead projects to supply bespoke solutions for specific customers.
* Assist and train our data curation, testing and customer support teams to ensure maximum real-world impact and customer satisfaction.
* The identification, design, development, training and testing of AI models on computer vision and other real-time data streams in a variety of domains.
The right individual will be someone with:
* A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer / Data Science and strong technical skills.
* 3-5 years of relevant experience of computer vision problems, AI development and implementation, including a working knowledge of the different problem types.
* An understanding of development in Python and C++.
* An ability to demonstrate knowledge of state-of-the-art computer vision AI techniques and their relative advantages.
The Ideal Candidate
* Has experience of an engineering environment and deploying software in edge computing environments and Nvidia Jetson hardware.
* Has worked in a relevant field, e.g. Automotive computer vision.
* Can demonstrate an ability to design a suitable AI model from a problem statement and set of source data.
* Has an understanding of techniques and protocols to produce low-latency vision pipelines from sensor to decision.
* Experience of non-AI techniques for computer vision that augment AI models and provide alternatives.
