As a Key Account Manager, you will be a strategic partner to our customers. Your primary focus is to understand customer objectives, consult on optimal configurations (hardware, software, and services), and foster enduring, value-based relationships. By adopting a consultative sales approach, you will help clients unlock sustainable growth and strengthen Modern Expo’s position as a globally trusted solutions provider.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring prompt resolution of challenges.
2. Build and maintain long-term partnerships with existing and potential clients.
3. Manage prospecting, pitching, and contract negotiations, leveraging Modern Expo’s robust product and service portfolio.
4. Research and identify new business opportunities in the UK market.
5. Assess customer needs through in-depth discovery sessions.
6. Develop customized proposals that integrate hardware (e.g., parcel lockers), software modules, and services (e.g., network deployment, revenue optimization, added value products from Modern Expo portfolio).
7. Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align solutions with customer expectations.
8. Provide feedback on market trends and user requirements to inform product enhancements.
9. Track and analyze sales performance metrics; produce regular reports.
10. Contribute to strategic planning by forecasting market opportunities and recommending initiatives to boost competitiveness.
What qualifications you’ll need for this role:
1. 5+ years of experience in consultative sales, business development, or account management within B2B key accounts (preferably within the last-mile delivery industry, retail, logistics, or related sectors).
2. Ability to translate customer challenges into solution-based approaches that emphasize long-term value over short-term gains.
3. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a solution-selling environment.
4. Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of contract structures and pricing strategies.
5. Proven ability to simplify complex concepts and convey them to diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to C-level executives.
6. Ability to work across multiple departments and international teams, fostering trust and synergy.
7. Experience in building strong customer relationships with a focus on mutual success.
8. Familiarity with logistics operations, SaaS solutions, or OOH technologies.
9. Comfortable with discussing software integrations, hardware specifications, and ROI calculations.
10. Fluency in English is essential (knowledge of another European language is a plus).
11. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field preferred.
12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving marketplace.
