Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician/Mechanic looking for a new challenge? We are recruiting a number of Engineers to be part of an integral delivery programme for an MOD contract.
Why this role is a bit different? If you have been in the Army recently and looking for that next career move, this could be the role for you. Alternatively, if you have a Vehicle Maintenance background and are willing to become a member of the Army Reserve (through our clients' sponsorship programme), then this could be the opportunity for you.
You'll be based out of their Service Centre in Woodbridge and may be required to do occasional travel in the UK and overseas at times.
What you'll be doing:
1. Involved in service and maintenance of materials handling and plant equipment in support of the MOD.
2. Fault finding, breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance, and pre-delivery inspection of equipment.
3. Ensure customer service is kept to a high level and any queries are addressed.
4. Adhere to safety guidelines and policies set out by customers and the business.
5. Maintain and develop customer relationships through high standards of service.
What you'll need:
1. You will have a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance either HGV or Light Vehicle and experience working on plant, MHE, powered access, HGVs, vehicles, or related equipment experience. However, a full training programme will be provided.
2. Previous military experience is advantageous but not a necessity as full military reservist training is offered.
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles.
4. Able to work under pressure and manage and prioritise your workload.
This is an excellent opportunity which offers a base salary of £36,691 (subject to annual increases) plus an additional £3k bonus for maintaining Sponsored Reserve status, bringing it to £39,691. Overtime is also paid at 1.5x Monday to Friday and 2x at weekends. You will also receive pay enhancements when deployed on MOD assignments. Excellent benefits include a great work/life balance, contributory pension scheme, healthcare scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, product training, and long-term opportunities for growth and development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
