Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join us, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personalised Student Support: Provide tailored one-to-one and group support for students with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
2. Adapt Learning Plans: Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet the individual needs of SEN students, ensuring full access to the curriculum.
3. Behavioural and Emotional Guidance: Use positive behaviour management techniques to foster a calm and inclusive classroom environment, helping students develop social and emotional skills.
4. Progress Monitoring: Track and assess student progress, documenting learning outcomes and liaising with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure effective interventions.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, SEN coordinators, and external professionals to develop and implement effective strategies that meet each student's needs.
6. Support Independence: Encourage students to develop independent learning and life skills, helping them gain confidence in their abilities both inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements:
7. Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or educational support setting.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
9. A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs, particularly those facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
10. GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum Level 2/C Grade).
11. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
12. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adapting to the individual needs of students.
