Communications Manager (12 month FTC)
Are you an experienced Communications professional seeking a new role? If so, we're in search of a Communications Manager who is a masterful storyteller for a period of 12 months.
You will take joy in blending traditional communication methods with modern technological advancements such as Generative AI, to create compelling content which speaks to both our internal team and external audiences including media.
As a self-motivated individual, you will take initiative in your projects, thriving both on independent challenges and as an integral part of our collaborative environment. Your exceptional PR and communication skills will shine through in your ability to tailor messages across a variety of platforms, ensuring clarity and impact whether addressing colleagues or journalists and other external stakeholders.
This role will be based in our Cambridge office with ad hoc travel to other sites.
What you'll be doing:
PR and external Communications
* Using your sound news judgement to write high-quality and engaging copy for both external & internal stakeholders and communication channels including media.
* Developing creative and strategic copy for a wide range of materials including press releases, thought-leadership articles, blogs, and web and social media content.
* Collaborating closely with the marketing team to understand target audiences, brand voice, and campaign objectives.
* Supporting the creation of email communications via our e-marketing software.
* Utilising AI tools and platforms to enhance copywriting processes, generate data-driven insights, and optimise content performance.
* Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute video concepts which engage and resonate with target audiences, considering messaging, visual storytelling, and call-to-action elements.
* Creating case studies of successful projects, collecting and promoting client testimonials.
* Copywriting for other core web pages as required.
Internal communications
* Driving the internal communications strategy through a range of mediums, including but not exclusive to: internal webinars, newsletters, intranet, email, screens and company wide meetings.
* Writing internal news stories for multiple channels.
* Scheduling and managing regular internal email updates to all departments of the business.
* Managing and regularly updating internal digital screens with new and engaging content.
* Creating and distributing digital content through other internal digital channels.
* Supporting the dissemination and engagement of Bidwells group and divisional strategies.
* Working with other group operations teams on internal communications requirements.
About you
* Numerous years of professional experience in writing, reviewing and editing high-quality content, particularly media.
* Passion for language, creativity, and innovation.
* A basic understanding of AI technology.
* A first-class team player - willing to help on projects outside of their personal remit and contributing ideas and suggestions for the benefit of the team.
* Excellent video script creation and editing skills.
* Excellent IT skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite and Sharepoint.
* Active / relevant experience of social media.
* An ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Ability to pick and learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
* An interest in the property industry and/or land management sector.
