Due to business expansion and work demands, Crestmoor are seeking to employ a Works Manager to assist the Contracts Manager with the day-to-day running of around 5 construction sites.
The candidate should have a proven record of managing multiple sites and worked within an SME business. We are looking for someone who can provide experience and education to our diverse delivery teams, maintain professionalism with our Clients and stakeholders, and ensure the safe delivery of our projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supporting the site supervisors with the daily delivery of the company's live projects, this includes:
1. Open the depot for site teams to access equipment or vehicles, daily.
2. Manage the weekly project board.
3. Promote and manage Health & Safety on all live projects.
4. Complete resource planning & logistics of each live project.
5. Pre-start project visits to establish site constraints, advance notices, letter drops, landowners contact information.
6. Responsible for mobilising works teams, team inductions, and toolbox talks.
7. Sourcing & scheduling material & plant call-offs from the depot or from suppliers.
8. Undertake regular site visits and review project progress.
9. Review live data, such as time sheets, reports from site supervisors via the reflow site management system.
10. Updating of site-specific RAMS & Project programs.
11. Conduct Site Health & Safety audits.
12. Identify site-specific changes/variations and update the contracts manager.
13. Keep Clients well informed regarding project progress and any changes that may impact the overall program.
14. Alongside the Contracts Manager, update the commercial team on all projects progress via weekly operation meetings.
15. Conduct Snagging & defect inspections audits during project deliveries and update the contracts manager.
16. Support individuals with their CPD and HR issues, annual reviews.
17. Overall management of Sub-Contractors, including site-based managers on larger projects.
18. Completing site measures for the Contracts Manager.
19. Assist the Contracts Manager with continued development and improvements.
20. Manage restocking of surplus materials at the depot.
