As an Assessor, you will manage a caseload of between 30 to 35 learners across our levels 2 - 5 in Health and Social Care. You will be expected to liaise with employers and learners to plan, monitor, and evaluate learner progress against the relevant framework. In addition, assessors also work very closely with lecturing staff to ensure effective delivery, completion and achievement of the apprenticeship programme.
What do you need?To be successful, you will need an NVQ Level 3-5 (or higher) in Health and Social Care. Ideally, you will also have relevant industrial experience within health and social care. Whilst an assessor award is desirable, if you do not possess this, you will be required to obtain this within 2 years of start date.
Aside from qualifications, you will need strong organisational skills and excellent time management as you will normally work off-site meetings employers and learners in the workplace. As a result of the extensive travelling across a rural geographical area, a driving licence would be desirable, however the need to be able to travel to employers is essential. The College have pool cars available to use, so you will not need to use your own car.
