BRV Project Worker (Belonging, Resilience and Vocabulary) – MALE
The Children and Young People’s Empowerment Project (CHILYPEP) is a registered charity that has worked with disadvantaged Children and Young People for almost 23 years. Our work is a combination of youth work approaches and principles, and early intervention and prevention services based on good practice, with young people’s voice at the heart of everything we do.
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Mental Health/Youth Worker Practitioner with experience in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health to join our BRV Delivery Team. The ideal candidate will need to be a thoughtful and flexible practitioner who places young people and their welfare at the heart of their practice and has a compassionate, authentic approach.
As BRV Project Worker, you will be part of a small team delivering a range of interventions to vulnerable boys and young men aged between 11 and 25. These include one-to-one support, group work, and drop-ins at our HOME Wellbeing Hub and in a variety of venues throughout Barnsley. You will be working collaboratively to engage and support boys and young men who present with multiple and complex challenges. Using a youth work approach, you will co-produce activities and curriculum which is young person centered to influence and steer the group work content.
Interviews will be held in person on Monday 9th December 2024 at HOME, Ground Floor, Wellington House, Barnsley, S70 1WA.
