As part of the Retail Data, Insight & Analytics development programme, you’ll develop skills in different work situations, contributing to the development and improvement of processes, products and services in your department.
Over the course of 2-years, you’ll rotate around either the Business Services, Customer Resolution or Economic Crime Analytics teams with the option of studying toward role-related qualifications. You will build your skills and knowledge throughout your time in either team, gaining experience that will prepare you for a career in data, insight & analytics or similar and help propel your career within Nationwide.
We’ll need you to build rewarding relationships across the organisation and externally to understand customer needs, resolve problems and support the delivery of the Society blueprint.
You’ll also attend development workshops and complete any set qualifications and training aligned to achieve your best.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, based at either our Swindon or Northampton office.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Retail Data, Insight & Analytics programme, you’ll develop skills in different work situations, contributing to the development and improvement of processes, products and services in your department.
Over the course of 2-years, you’ll rotate around one of three business areas (Business Services, Economic Crime Analytics or Customer Resolutions) specialising in either data analytics or insight analytics with the option of studying toward role-related qualifications. You will build your skills and knowledge throughout your time on programme, gaining experience that will prepare you for roles such as Business Intelligent Specialist, Insights Analyst, Performance and Operations Senior Consultant or similar and help propel your career within Nationwide.
* Participants focusing on Data will focus on developing an ability to interrogate and understand complex data, extracting meaningful insight. You will create dashboards and tools that support the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. You will become technical specialists, working across multiple teams/projects whilst on scheme building technical knowledge of systems such as SAS/SQL/Power Platform/Terradata underpinned by a strong understanding of the business function.
* Participants focusing on Insights will focus on developing ability to analyse, interrogate and understand complex data and insight and have exposure to make informed recommendations across multiple teams/projects to help increase efficiency and effectiveness.
To support your journey you’ll have the opportunity to gain role-related qualifications.
You’ll gain access to a bespoke 18-month learning journey to develop core business skills that complement role-specific development, and you’ll meet and work alongside a range of diverse like-minded individuals from across the organisation.

Entry requirements:
Whether you’re a recent graduate, contemplating a career change, or are already working in Retail but seeking your next challenge, our Retail Data, Insight and Analysis development programme paves the way for a rewarding career.
You’ll need to have:
* English and Maths GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C) (or equivalent)
And either:
* An undergraduate degree in any discipline
* Or 2-years work experience in a relevant Financial, Retail or other Professional Services
