Job Title: Deputy Manager (Children’s Residential Service)
Location: Solihull, B92
Salary: Up to £35,000, Sleep ins paid at £60 per night (where applicable)
Hours: Average 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Make a difference to Children in our Care. We are looking for a Deputy Manager for our new Children's residential home in the local community supporting Children/young people with EBD, LD or Mental Health needs.
Job Summary:
As a Deputy Manager, you will:
1. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, including The Quality Standards, Every Child Matters, the Children Act, and other relevant legislation and guidance.
2. Represent the home to outside agencies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
3. Support the manager to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children & young people and all staff.
4. Help manage a quality service aiming to achieve a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
5. Work with the wider management team to contribute to the planning and development of Care Perspectives.
6. Increase and maintain occupancy levels appropriate to the business needs of the service and the needs of the young people placed.

Qualification & Experience
Essential Skills:
1. UK Full Driving Licence
2. Excellent communication
3. Basic Computer Skills Essential
4. Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Children’s Residential Service
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience in Residential childcare (Minimum 3 years) - Essential
2. Qualified - Hold a Diploma Level 3 in diploma for residential childcare or equivalent – Essential
