The Service Apprentice learns the Service Technician's role. Works with a mentor or unaccompanied on basic repairs of agricultural equipment under the direction of the Service Manager. Program Structure Duration: 4 years College Learning: Apprentices will attend college in weekly blocks throughout the apprenticeship, gaining theoretical knowledge and industry-specific qualifications. On-the-Job Training: Between college blocks, apprentices will work at the depot, applying their learning in real-world scenarios under the guidance of experienced professionals. This structured approach allows apprentices to develop both technical expertise and practical experience, preparing them for a long-term career in the industry. Essential Duties Performs basic service tasks and develops skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components. Assists Technicians as needed. Reports weekly to a mentor or Service Manager regarding ongoing activities and progression. Learns to maintain the condition of inventory, tools and equipment. Learns to maintain a clean work area and performs work in a professional, neat and orderly fashion. Learns to complete reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
