Prime Purpose Of Role: To provide accounting, tax and regulatory services to the JOHCM group. To assist the Head of Tax of Norther Hemisphere and Head of Regulation JOHCM in ensuring efficient processes and that financial record comply with applicable accounting, tax and regulatory standards. Main Responsibilities: VAT Preparation of the VAT returns on quarterly/monthly basis Bookings of the VAT entries using in-house accounting software (TechOne) Reconciliation of the VAT control accounts Assist in VAT related projects Corporation Tax Prepare monthly corporation tax calculations and bookings via in-house accounting software for UK/USA/Ireland/Germany/France/Swiss and Czech Republic Reconcile Corporation Tax control accounts Prepare calculations for tax payments as they fall due to be paid to Tax Authorities Assisting in documentation and update of Corporation tax procedures and calculations Transfer Pricing Prepare monthly transfer pricing journals throughout the JOHCM group Prepare quarterly invoice figures for the Sale and Purchase ledger accountant to issue Ensure transfer priced revenue and expenditure is as accurate as possible using latest available information Preparation and updating the firms cost allocation and the revenue allocation models Assist in documentation of updates to the transfer pricing policy Month End/Quarter End/Year End Assist in the audit procedure, liaise with auditors in relation to relevant audit queries Assist in preparation of dividend calculations quarterly taking into account regulatory implications Ad-hoc/ other Assist in tax, regulatory, accounting and transfer pricing projects as required Assist in implementations and improvements to the reports on accounting software TechOne Skills Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with min 3 years’ Asset Management experience Understanding partial exemptions calculations and reverse charge VAT rules – essential Understanding of UK corporation tax and Transfer Pricing Knowledge of FCA and CBI regulatory returns; RegData and ONR systems - desirable Attention to detail and strong Excel skills - essential Strong communication, team working and organisational skills Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Equal opportunities statement At J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM), we are committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
