The Nursing Associate will work as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for their own practice and behaviour. They will be allocated their own caseload of patients by the Registered Nurse and will be expected to work independently, holistically assessing patients' needs, planning and prioritising their workload and implementing evidence-based care, evaluating the outcomes of care under the minimal supervision of the registered nurse.
Main Duties of the Job
Candidates should possess a positive and flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills, and an interest in personal and ward development. We work closely with the Practice Development Nurse to ensure that we assist you in developing new skills and are fully supported.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development.
* Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate.
* Awareness of own limitations.
* Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code.
* Possess the knowledge expected of a Nursing Associate, as recommended within the NMC Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates.
Qualifications
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
* Completion of End Point Assessment for applicants who have undertaken the apprenticeship route.
* When English is spoken as a second language, must have an IELTS score of 7.0.
Experience
* Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to demonstrate experience in the area for which an application is made, with good customer care skills.
* Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate.
