Field Service Technician

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
A global leader in the development and production of sensor solutions for defence and security applications is seeking a Field Service Technician. You will be primarily field-based supporting customers around the world, conducting various activities on Naval vessels, Commercial vessels, and Shore Based Systems.
Key Accountabilities - Field Service Technician
1. Travelling within the UK and multiple overseas destinations is a regular feature of this role, and requests to travel could be made at short notice. However, most visits are short trips lasting no longer than 2 weeks.
2. Carry out service interventions which can include installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and acceptance tests.
3. Complete detailed service reports and expenses on completion of each activity in a timely manner.
4. Communicate effectively with line management any information relating to technical issues seen in the field.
5. While in the office, support Customer Services Technical Helpdesk by responding to customers' emails and, when required, writing Technical Advice Sheets.
6. Strive for Quality, Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction.
7. On occasions, be prepared to work in excess of the normal 37-hour week or anti-social hours while observing contractual obligations.
Skills and Knowledge Required - Field Service Technician
1. ONC qualified preferably but not essential.
2. Experience in the field servicing environment, preferably Marine but not essential.
