The Lead Intranet Content Designer is responsible for the management, design, delivery and development of content on the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) intranet platform.
DVSA’s intranet helps our c4,700 colleagues access the clear and accurate information they need to do their jobs efficiently and effectively and provides engaging, targeted internal communications.
We are committed to becoming a digitally enabled organisation. As part of this commitment, we have invested in modern, efficient technology which supports our mobile workforce and moved to a SharePoint / O365 environment. You will ensure that our intranet platform maximises the use of these new tools and technology.
You’ll ensure that content on our intranet platform is governed effectively and that it meets the needs of our users and our business, supporting delivery of DVSA’s 5-year strategy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Oversee the day-to-day publishing of content on our intranet platform
* Managing the relationship with our suppliers
* Ensure we maximise the benefits of our intranet platform
* Play a key role with the release testing of intranet functionality improvements
* Maintain a good understanding of industry best practice and new technological opportunities that can add business value
* Publish content that is designed to meet user needs, making complex language, processes and policies easy to understand
* Create, iterate and manage user-centred content using analytics, user feedback, user research and other sources of information, as well as contributing to content design principles and improvements
* Work with other content designers to respond to queries and requests to update content that come in from internal colleagues and stakeholders
* Working closely with colleagues in communications, you’ll understand our users, identify their needs based on evidence, and propose solutions via our intranet platform to meet these needs
