:
The Mobile Service Technician role is a great opportunity for somebody who is looking for a driving role but one that will lead them into a field service engineering career, working for a great organisation who will offer full training. This role covers the Reading and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* As an MST you will meet engineers on customer sites and if required you will assist with the decash of ATM s under security protocol, working closely with the engineer to ensure the site is well placed for a de-cash.
* Meeting engineers on site, delivering and handing over larger parts for the ATM s and if required you will assist the engineer with fitting parts.
* Once training has been given, you will also carry out basic fault finding on ATM s in the absence of the Field Engineer, such as clearing card reader faults, printer faults, note jams etc. Some heavy lifting might be involved.
* On occasion you may be required to carry out non-engineering tickets, such as meeting BT, locksmiths and doing alarm handovers.
* You will also be responsible for returning parts and also ordering replacements, ensuring that you keep order of the stock that you carry onboard your vehicle.
Candidate Requirements:
* This role requires you to be self motivated and driven and have an interest in working in the field.
* For this position you will need to demonstrate a good geographical knowledge of the local area. On occasion, you may be asked to work out of area which could involve a longer distance for driving.
* Ideally you will have previous experience with electronics, or mechanical devices and also ideally basic fault-finding skills and experience, even if it is mending and fault finding on home gadgets and appliances.
* Good communication skills and basic admin skills are essential for this role.
Shifts:
* Your normal working week is 42.5 hours Monday to Sunday. You will be required to participate in a shift pattern rota.
* Shifts will be scheduled on any 10 days out of a consecutive period of 14 days.
* Maximum of 2 weekends worked in 4 week period (working weekends will not be consecutive).
* Maximum of 1 weekend per 4 week period can be late shift.
* No more than 25% of working shifts will be scheduled as late shifts (late shift defined as shift finishing after 18.30 but before 23.00).
* Maximum of 7 consecutive working days.
* You will be given 30 days written notice of change in shift pattern unless by mutual agreement.
